Brian,

I wrote a GIF viewer called APACVIEW.  It's on GEnie and CompuServe,
and I've tried to get it uploaded here (are you there Ray?).  It can
accept files as large as you can fit on your disk, as it doesn't need
to store the entire GIF file in RAM all at once.  Let me know if you
can't find it anywhere.  Be sure to get version 2.2.
