Dev. Corp., Aurora, Co. Lines: 26 - I appear to have found a 3B2/400 floppy disk drive substitute, which -means that for me, my 3B2 floppy troubles are now over! I 'think' -I have just successfully 'hacked' an ordinary 1.2 Meg PC floppy disk drive -to work with my 3B2/400 computer. - ...deleted for space...... - The 'exact' drive I am> using is a Panasonic JU-475-2AGJ drive, and all -id was move the DC jumper >to RDY, and moved the CX jumper over to BX. The -rive must setup to use Dri>ve Select 0, and the terminating resistor MUST be -nstalled. If you are not >that great in the 'hardware' department, then I -uggest you do not try this>.... - oneb!hakatac!rthomas Well, I was not able to find a Panasonic JU-475-2AGJ in town but did find a JU-475-4AEG and it worked. I had to change AX junper to MX and MS to EX and everything is working find. This beast is a 1.6 meg drive and what it's used for I don't know. I do believe the drive AT&T uses for 3b2 series is a Panasonic (at least this is what I have been told by a AT&T dealer). Now if I could just find out how to add a second drive without getting the full kit from a VAR dealer, I would be happy, at least for about 5 minutes. -Cyro -- Cyro Lord Alpha Comm. Dev.
