Message-ID: Date: 11 Dec 90 22:16:01 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY Lines: 21 Nntp-Posting-Host: iear.arts.rpi.edu As if all {the nasty things I've done already to this old 6300 weren't enough, I have attempted even more: I came by this old Intel Aboveboard 386 that I'd love to stuff in here. I made a longer cable for it (so I could reach all the way to the bottom of the machine since the nuts who built it put it together weird :-) ). Now when I put it all together I get this: The drive spins up, and then about 3 or 4 secons later the speaker emits this incredible buzzing -- it is NOT someting stuck in the fan...I checked -- then nothing at all. Has anyone ever tried to do this to a 6300? Or am I the only one crazy enough to abuse it like this? Any useful info (or not so useful) would be appreciated via email. Thanks...
