In our company we are developping software for preclinical and clinical 
research.  Most applications are based on Vax/VMS and Oracle and development
is done using 4-GL like UnifAce and MACCS (MDL).

Has someone experiences with Configuration Change Management related to the
version (and distribution) control of

	- different Operating System's versions

	- different DB-Software versions

	- different 4-GL-Tool versions

Any hints, experiences, warnings etc. are welcome.  If enough input piles up
I will summarize.
