I tried it with my Adaptec 4000 and an ST506 winchester disk. I couldn't see the disk through the operating system (ULTRIX), however I see the controller just fine. I figured if I got a native SCSI disk I might be all set, so I purchased a used MAC SCSI disk, and that too could not be seen. Does anyone have the formatter/diagnostic floppy for an SC04 that I could borrow or purchase to see if the device is working? Alternatively, does anyone have a spare ROM set, perhaps from a broken SC04 board, that includes the formatter, or is at least a recent revision? Any suggestions? So far the only suggestion was from Emulex, and that was to spend $300 for a ROM upgrade or $300 for the floppy, or $1000 for their latest SCSI board. --Robert
