I am currently operating a VT1000 terminal with the ROM update kit 
provided by DEC. Just recently the monitor for the system which is DEC
product number VR262 was smashed at a computer show. DEC informed me 
that they will not replace the picture tube and suggested that we purchase
a new one. Several third party services explained to me that they will 
replace a picture tube, but cannot obtain a the correct part for a VR262.
What our comapny did have available is a couple of VR260 monitors that where
not being used. The only problem now is that the VT1000 is not 100%
compatable with the VR260. The picture is a little warped and slightly 
twisted. Does anybody know where a cheap picture tube for a VR262 can be
obtained? Is there an adjustment that can be made to the system which will
straighten out the picture? Any response will be greatly appreciated
