I tried to use the autonumbering feature of the footnote command, but I cannot figure out how to cross-reference the equation numbers in the text. I am dealing with several hundred equations, some referenced multiple times in the text. Word for the IBM handles this cross-referencing with the bookmark feature, but there does not seem to be a similar feature on Macintosh Word. Perhaps a desk accessory? I'll try anything. Thanks (E-mail me and I'll post any successful solutions) Michael (meckert@eniac.seas.upenn.edu)
