I use the ftp module of SU-MacIP from Stanford U. to download files from rascal. This is done in BINARY mode. After that, I have to convert the files using MacBinary to Stuffit readable format. MacBinary is available from sumex and, I believe, rascal. Piece of cake. Once you know how ;-) Thanks to all who supplied tips and info.
