Summary: Help! Keywords: Help! Message-ID: <1990Dec15.214922.19530@agate.berkeley.edu> Date: 15 Dec 90 21:49:22 GMT Sender: usenet@agate.berkeley.edu (USENET Administrator) Distribution: comp.sys.mac.programmer Organization: University of California, Berkeley Lines: 15 I'm pretty new at programming C, and even newer at programming the Mac in C, so I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers (no pun intended). I've written a few programs without dialogs or menus or any of that "fancy" stuff (just ANSI printf and scanf). The only toolbox routines these programs use are MoveTo and LineTo (and a loop to check for a mouse click). What I'm wondering is, the programs seem very slow for a supposedly fast language. Am I doing something wrong? Should I program them differently? What? I'm using Think C 4.0. Thanks to anyone who can help! (P.S. Anyone wanna take a programmer under their wing? :-) Gary Arnold c60b-4av@web.berkeley.edu
