Have you ever played with the LAYO resource located in the Finder with ResEdit?
You can control almost any aspect of icon placement. I guess they just shifted
them a bit in the copy you got. The way I like mine is tighter vertical spacing
with wider horizontal spacing for those really descriptive file names.
