Now I see it's still in the October 7.0b1 release: Finder 7.0 can't agree with previous Finders on where the icons should go! Specifically, within every disk or folder window, the icons representing files and folders are offset down and to the right when viewed with Finder 7.0. The distance looks like about 16 pixels down and 16 pixels right--that is, something like half the height and width of an icon. This happens in windows on both hard disks and floppy disks, so I don't think it has anything to do with Desktop Manager (I'm running Desktop Manager under the 6.0.x system). Anybody else noticed this? Is it supposed to be a feature, rather than a bug? By the way, judging from the few hours I've spent running it so far, the beta release is *much* improved over the previous alpha. The Finder opens large folders at a usable speed now, and I think the system would actually run on a two-megabyte machine.
