Pushing air into the PS: Advantages: Draws relatively cool (outside) air over the cards. Disadvantages: Draws air through biggest hole (floppy drives) depositing dust over drives and maybe the cards too. Pushing air out of the PS: Advantages: Allows one to filter the air going into the PS via the back of the computer. Disadvantages: Air that first goes though PS is warmed so the cards don't get as much cooling effect. Thanks for all the responses! -- Jeff Poulin poulin@polar.bowdoin.edu jpoulin@bowoin.bitnet ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just how much can $1,000,000,000 buy nowadays? o Pay a full year's tuition for 62,500 students at private colleges. o Feed 550,000 homeless people for 1 year. o Purchase 400,000 personal computers for inner-city schools. o According to Dick Cheney, it's the cost *per day* of a war in Kuwait. (Of course, not counting the tens of thousands of human lives...) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
