Can you successfully telnet to this node from another system? tftp and tftpd should not have any effect on the telnet/telnet daemon on the target node. If you are in fact able to start up X Clients and successfully run them on the X Station, this is a positive indicator that the TCP/IP connection is alive and functional. If you can start up an xterm this same node and display it to the X Station, do an xlsfonts and verify that you do have access to the fonts on that host. This will verify that tftp is working and that permissions are OK. I have installed a number of X Stations on a number of different host systems running various flavors of UNIX, and have not encountered this situation. nb> nb>Any help (except telling me to buy a different X terminal) is appreciated. nb> You bought the right X Station. Why don't you send me information on the configuration parameters on the X Station, the .Config file, the internet addresses of the pertinent nodes, etc. I will try to help you further on this issue. ________________________________________________________________________ Dennis M.
