   Well, there is a "cut/paste font" command, and command-key equivalent.
(command-3 and command-4, I think ... highly mnemonic.) So you could,
after copying the desired italic font wth cmd-3, just highlight each
title and press cmd-4 (paste font). Though, I agree that it would be
nice to be able to select noncontiguous blocks of text ...
