It says: "As an alternative to messaging, Mach also supports interprocess communication via shared memory. However, if you use interprocess communications you're responsible for synchronizing the transmission and reception of the message. . . ." Ok fine, I'll be responseible for that. :-) Problem is, this is the only place within the NeXT documentation I can find that talks about shared memory. And I found it by sheer luck, not by using the Digital Librarian's search tools.
