I heard that at the OLE Workshop at Seattle Lotus showed a beta version of Notes that supports Object Linking and Embedding. The Lotus "REPS" (ha ha ha) went about "preaching" that Lotus supports OLE technology and that customers and developers should support Microsofts efforts. Great! Thanks Alex (of LDC), Hey I simply was not even considering OLE until you opened my eyes. They also dodged questions about the functionality of Notes - including "please explain your choice of a replicated database" (they claim it is a replicated distributed databases using e-mail). The justification for not reponding was that it did not relate to OLE. I suppose when Network Extensions come out for Windows Lotus will be "opening" developers eyes again by asking us to support distributed object management - BUT that is not related at all to OLE is it. Anyway, just thought I would feed to response to Lotus Notes. They really get on my nerves. By the way, my news response is Copyrighted.
