The menu has all the stanard rates up to 9600.  Don't know for sure
if they all actually work.

			 (I'm interested in using it as a very portable
   terminal rather than as a word processor.  Can't find a Radio Shack
   store employee who knows the meaning of "baud rate"; and the
   catalog doesn't even mention the number of characters in the display!)

For word-processing, it appears to be 8 lines by 65 characters.  The
actual display is longer than that; but the right margin isn't used by
the WP.  You may get 75 for telecommunication, I don't have the right
cables to try it out yet (just got this beastie).
