I am trying to send binary files from one unix host to another
over a modem and using the UN*X  cu  command, and wondering
if there is a shell or some util to assist since  cu   alone
does not support. (?)

I am actually "cu'ing" out a tty that is a 9600 link to a host
overseas, cu  does ascii file transfer about 3X faster than kermit
for us and I'm wondering if we could transfer binaries this way
as well.  Thereby giving us an interactive link with both methods
of transfer.  email preferred, thanx in advance as usual info-gods.  :-)
