The AT&T FACE (Framed Access Command Environment) seems to make a quite decent SysAdmin interface - what's your problem with it ? If you want to do things by hand, there's still nothing to stop you. Why can you forget about online man pages ? That is vendor dependent, not OS release dependent. As a counter-example, Dell ship full online man pages. Finally, as has already been pointed out, the filesystem reorganisation can largely be ignored due to symbolic links. The reorganisation was not done just to be awkward. It is far better suited to running in a networked environment and allows for such interesting features as a read-only root filesystem. Where do you get to follow symlinks to symlinks ... I don't think the base system has any double symlinks (somebody will doubtless correct me), and if you're stupid enough to create lots yourself ... :-) Tim -- Tim Wright, Dell Computer Corp.
