I am totally unable to mail out or receive (except in the trivial case of mail x, where x is a local user id). If you have the subject system working, I would appreciate a clue or two as to your methods. If you plan to send me a large set of configuration files and tables, E-mail me first. All help gratefully accepted, Nomex clothing in place, already RTM'd, I'm out of ideas. The apparent basic failure is an inability to locate the appropriate user when a message comes into the system, or when sent locally with a full address of user@machine.domain. Outbound mail failure is similar, in that the target machine.domain is not findable; at least that how I interpret the messages. . The machine is in the local host table, and is also known by the local name server.
