I am having a shit load of trouble building gcc on SCO ODT UNIX.
(* I am using chips second set of patches, way be I do not have a
complete set)
I get the following core dump from within the makefile

        rcc -g   -o genemit genemit.o rtl.o obstack.o   -lPW
        ./genemit md > tmp-emit.c
sh: 13269 Bus error - core dumped
*** Error code -118

Stop.


any ideas. I am not very familuare with cv and do not really want to debug this
core. I do not even know what genemit is suposed to do. P.S has anyone tried 
to use the zortech c++ compiler? (I am just wasting to much time) 
The only reason
I want to use the g++ compiler is that is what I use on my SUN workstation
and it would be highly desirable to have the same environment on both platforms


in general gcc/g++/gdb are easy to build on the sun an work well

I played around with the HCR c++ compiler from SCO but they want $1200 for it 
and I do not think it was very good
