Message-ID: <1990Dec17.023641.2768@marlin.jcu.edu.au> Date: 17 Dec 90 02:36:41 GMT Organization: James Cook University Lines: 15 This does not appear to have made it out the first time - apologies if it did. Found a bug in 'finger' on a DECstation 5000, running Ultrix 4.0. Doing a 'finger 1' displays the names of users and accounts containing the character '1', but also displays information for any entries in /etc/passwd that have 2 consecutive spaces in the info field (field 5), or if there is a trailing space before the colon terminating field 5. Am I missing something here? Anyone from DEC care to comment? -Stuart Kemp cpsrk@groper.jcu.edu.au
