Message-ID: <16844@brahms.udel.edu> Date: 14 Dec 90 21:39:48 GMT Organization: University of Delaware Lines: 12 I have a problem configuring windows to use my memory correctly.. I have a clone 386 (100% compatible at though..) with 4 megs of memory (extended) and about 80 megs of disk space.. If I try to run win386 it says I don't have enough memory.. and microsoft word continually polls my HD (ALL during the application, even without anything happening).. I'm guessing thats the virtually memory, and I think the application said I really didn't have much memory left.. Any ideas what I should do? I have the Extended Memory driver set at something like 2 megs, and HImem is installed.. I did have a 1.5 meg ramdrive, but after all these problems, I took it out.. win386 still said I didn't have enough memory... any help would be appreciated. please send mail to me directly at "swyatt@udel.edu" since I don't normally read this group.. thanks.
