I am searching for documentation explaining how the imake program works.
I have the imake man page, but it doesn't explain the syntax of the Imakefile
file.

It is real tough trying to set up Imakefile files to make Makefiles, when I
don't have a manual explaining the whole process.  I have no idea what the
various directives in the Imakefile do.

Any pointers to documentation will be appreciated.
