Most good TDDs support an ASCII mode (7 bit, mark or space parity, 1 stop) that about half of the PC based communications packages will talk to. It is easiest if the TDD dials into the PC and not vise versa. It just seems to work better. As to the file transfer, the only way to get KERMIT to run is to have it on both units and I have yet to hear of any uploadable software for a TDD. Therefore, good luck....
