People usually think of risk as slightly affecting everyone. In fact, it drastically affects some, and doesn't seem to affect others. How can you predict? Who knows. Most persons with sensitivities, and many in the population at large are beginning to drink spring water and filtered water, for a variety of reasons. The most common one is simpy a reaction to chlorine or other substances in city water. Some people do it for the taste. Others are concerned about chlorohydrocarbons which can cause cancer. Some are sensitive to flouride, which has been shown to have at least as many bad effects as good ones, although the american dental association denies this is proven. (The AMA also recommends mercury fillings, which cause health problems in some poeple.) -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!163!223!Chris.Brown Internet: Chris.Brown@f223.n163.z1.fidonet.org
