I depends a lot on which newsgroups you read. You and I probably both read more liberal newsgroups. As to your observation, a couple of possible theories: 1. Homosexuals are perceived to be the underdogs. Many people instinctively stand up for underdogs. To attack the underdog is percieved as an act of cowardice. 2. Heterosexual people are not threatened by homosexual people On the other hand, organized religion is a political machine that is responsible for many of the laws of society which we must obey or else be put in prison. That is something to feel threatened by. -- Scott Amspoker | Basis International, Albuquerque, NM | "I'm going out for a sandwich" (505) 345-5232 | - Ben unmvax.cs.unm.edu!bbx!bbxsda!scott |
