   I think GIF would be better in almost all cases.  (Even for the really
   simple circuits) I don't think the size of the GIF file will be a problem,
   even for huge (1280x1024) GIF images, as long as they are B/W only (1 bit
   per pixel).  I've seen a number of Anime GIFs (network.ucsd.edu, if you must
   know) that are B/W drawings of that size, that are around 16-40 KB long.

Postscript is the best way to go for these reasons:

	* It is device independant, across hardware and OSs
	* Files can be generated any number of ways including
	   draw packages, CAD packages and especially schematic
	   capture programs like ORCAD.
	* The files are ASCII and need no uuencoding
	* File sizes are manageable, and can be compressed
	* The printed output is (usually) easily scalable (from A to D
	    sizes) and the output is crisper and cleaner than bit
	    maps.

I distribute shcematics this way to people and it works great.  I have
recieved schematics this way as well (the BOSS RS-232 schematic posted
in alt.sources for example).
