      BITNET users can use FTP by going through a server site such as
BITFTP@PUCC.BITNET.  See your local network wizard, or ask questions
on a list/discussion group more suited to these issues than BIO-NAUT.
      BIO-NAUT should be reserved for issues more related to
biological computing than computing in general.  I would like to
thank Rob Harper for all the useful information he has provided over
the last few years though.  If you look through past issues of
BIO-NAUT and BIO-BIT you will find just about all you ever wanted
to know about accessing the network and tapping its resources.
      Although it is fine to ask BIO-NAUT (or any list) "where
do I go to get information on such and such?"   Please think first
and realize that your question is being send to the mailboxes of
thousands of other BIO-NAUT subscribers, most of whom know just
about as much about networks as you do.  Ask us the biological
questions, send your network questions to the lists where thousands
of network gurus are subscribed.  Here on BIO-NAUT, Rob Harper
has to answer far more than his share of questions single-handedly.
