The newsgroup would promote discussion of relevant technologies (e.g. DVI, CD-I, CD ROM, videodisc) applications and methodologies. It will not be moderated. Consensus: While a few individuals held reservations about the word multimedia, the consensus supports the creation of the group with the name "comp.multimedia". The Vote: As per the Usenet guidelines, the voting period is for 21 days ending on Sunday, 6 January 1991. Votes must be mailed to the address: multimedia@gba.nyu.edu Votes posted to a newsgroup do not count.
