Dear Net,

a while ago (November) I posted a query regarding Fax Group 4 -> TIFF
conversion. I got a few replies and would like to thank the following people:

Thank you for responding - you really helped.

Here is the main message...

"You can get Sam Lefflers TIFFLIB stuff of of uunet.uu.net or
ucbvax.berkeley.edu via Anon FTP. I used it to convert stuff back and
forth between our Macs and our Apollos here using the programs found in the
package. One of the converters is a program that 
will convert group 3 CCITT fax to TIFF format.

There are makefiles included for
different types of UNIX machines such as Apollo's Suns,
VAXes, SGI Irisesm etc.
I didn't have much trouble getting it to make...just changed a few
dependancies for some site-specific stuff.."
