I`ve seen Imagen laser printers like this - so I know that it's been done before. My problem is that I don't have a clear idea of how a program running on a Sun will establish a connection with the device. Can the hardware make an unsolicited connection across the ethernet & start up it's control software? Does anyone out there in netland know about this sort of thing? Please send mail as I don't normally read these groups. Thanks, Joe -- Joe McGuckin oilean!joe@sgi.com Island Software joe@parcplace.com (415) 969-5453
