The resets seem to occur when traffic on the interfaces is heavy. The resets show up in "show controller mci" as: MCI 1, controller type 1.0, microcode version 1.7 128 Kbytes of main memory, 4 Kbytes cache memory, 22 system TX buffers Restarts: 1 line down, 0 hung output, 0 controller error ^^^ We are seeing this on two boxes, one with a CSC-2 and one with a CSC-3 processor. On the CSC-2 box, we tried swapping MCI boards, and booting both 8.1(19) and 8.1(25). On the CSC-3 box, we tried swapping MCI boards (only under 8.1(19)). This problem began when we moved to microcode 1.7 and seems to have stopped now that we've gone back to microcode 1.5. (We had been upgrading our MCI cards to 1.7 to solve the dribble-bit Ethernet incompatabilities and to improve the usefulness of the error counters. That's on hold until this is resolved.) Anyone know what's going on here? Thanks, Dan
