Hello,

     I heard this from the grapevine that there is a special release of 
the 8.2 software that will allow X.25 switches/hosts to direct connect
to the cisco over an *HDLC* connection and it works as follows;-


     -------  HDLC   -------     512k, HDLC       -------   HDLC  ------  
    | X.25 |--------| cisco |--------------------| cisco |-------| X.25 |
     -------         -------                      -------         ------


I also heard this special feature is called HDLC tunneling and is currently
being beta tested in some universities already. Do we really have this
special feature out there running on the network?  If there is, I would like
to know more about it.  I have contacted customer engineering at cisco 
Systems and they are not aware of this new feature at all.
