Higher management has decided that they cause trouble and that they take up too many resources. That haven't offered any proof of the latter claim because the tools to monitor our mail system doesn't exist. (The Xerox mail system is very diffuse and hard to monitor.) The net may not be dieing here but all the fun parts are.
