Keywords: arguments, perl Message-ID: <585@camco.Celestial.COM> Date: 21 Dec 90 02:18:20 GMT Organization: Celestial Software, Mercer Island, WA Lines: 21 I was working on the getopts.pl yesterday fixing a problem where multiple options are present. Specifically with a front end for [ntx]roff where it is common to have multiple -r options. As I was doing this I tried to fix make getopts.pl work for quoted arguments as in 'mail -s "THIS IS THE SUBJECT" user', but found that even though the argument to -s is quoted perl treats it a bunch of single word arguments. Is there a way to make perl work like the shell, c, and most other programs? By the way, I did get the multiple arguments working.
