Yes, and this is why there is no Improv, WordPerfect, Microphone, etc. on the Suns. But I wouldn't count them out. I'd love to see Smalltalk selling for $300-$600 on the Sun IPC platform for example. Why is this not a good idea? Does PP seriously doubt that they'd sell at least 5 times as many copies as they do now? On the other hand maybe they've already gone over this and just have to price their products this way. This doesn't seem to say much in favor about the expected pervasiveness of ST however. Anyway, if ParcPlace can get their prices to Digitalk's levels it'd be a hard thing to beat. - g
