(I don't care about running DOS.) I'm trying to mix drive types (1.2 on /dev/at0, 1.44 on /dev/PS1), but perhaps that is causing problems. The select light comes on when I address the drive (/dev/PS1), so the cabling must be right. But there are I/O errors (don't remember the exact wording..). I guess there's possibilities of a bad drive, but the store only knows how to talk DOS and keep trying to sell me a new BIOS... BTW, I don't have a diag disk to set up the CMOS, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it?? I looked at floppy.c, and I can't see anything that prohibits mixing drive types. Al
