Message-ID: <2552@krafla.rhi.hi.is> Date: 18 Dec 90 00:13:05 GMT Organization: University of Iceland Lines: 20 Hi all, does anyone know of a PD / shareware program to run a PC as a remote server? (preferably with source code as it will have to be tweaked). What I have in mind is a program which sits TSR in the background and gives a terminal connected to a COM: port the following service: 1) reasonably full access to DOS commands, and run simpler applications remotely 2) file (device) server access, so a single hard disk & laser printer etc. can be shared by any other machine which has access to that COM: port Preferably DOS command access and device access should have some availability even if the PC is being used (as itself) locally at the command prompt or even within other applications if enough memory is available. This is however not entirely necessary (though it helps). I'm not regular to this newsgroup so email please, if I get interesting replies then I'll summarise it. Adam David. adamd@rhi.hi.is
