Keywords: pop pop3 sendmail sendmail.cf MH spop Message-ID: <1990Dec19.202611.19609@moldev.com> Date: 19 Dec 90 20:26:11 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Molecular Devices Corporation Lines: 18 Dear "Net", Is it necessary to make changes to sendmail.cf when using popper ? According to documentation on the pop3 implementation included with MH, a new mailer is added and a special (non)-rewriting rule added for that protocol server. However, popper does not mention this in it's documentation. Without these changes, I find that mail sent via Eudora -> popper -> sendmail gets the return address rewritten into uucp format, and incorrectly at that ( it has two !! between machine name and user name ). Have any of you seen this problem, or know the necessary magic to fix it ? George -- George Pontis ( geo@moldev.com )
