I can't even remember which rag it was in, but something tells me it was Amazing Computing. Does anyone else remember reading about this hack? The author was really knowledgeable about video. Apparently the hack was quite simple, and consisted of changing the values of a few resistors in the output stage of the video amplifiers. Something about the way the resistors were selected in the 1000 design was out of spec with the original design equations for the amplifier in the composite video output.
