You still don't understand my point do you? I am 100% PRO-intuition+graphics library being extended to third party hardware. But it will be atleast a year before this happens and there are many people already working on this. I suggest a quick stop gap method that can be availible in 1 or 2 months to prevent developers from banging hardware registers on video boards like what is done on the IBM. So what would you rather do? Wait over 1 year until real RTG is ready meanwhile all the video hardware out is unusable or supported by horrible hacks or have something ready in 1 or 2 months that will keep the market going until Commodore introduces real RTG.
