I know this is probably old news, so E-MAIL the reply please ...

I've gotten through the first maze and gotten the key in Beast I, but can't
find a way out to get back to the well where I think the key is used.
I also can't get by the (1) beast tossing the globe and (2) the large multi-headed
thing.  

Yes, I have the cheat for unlimited lives, but would rather not apply it (call
me stupid, go ahead :-).  Anyway, could someone give me some clues?
