And the Conner drives are voice-coil with a read-ahead buffer. The 20 and 40 meg Vulcans are mostly Seagate. (Mine is). Someone correct me if I'm wrong but SCSI doesn't really know about the read ahead buffer and doesn't care about it either. That is, it works transparently.
