I have a question. If Quantum hd's have their own cache built in how does quick is it with the Apple High Speed SCSI? If anyone has this combination, could they please post some speed tests? Also, I'd be interested in seeing results from a Quantum and RamFast configuration. Is the difference in speed with a Quantum & Ramfast worth the price difference between say a Seagate & Ramfast? I was thinking about just getting a regular Seagate hd, and a RamFast for pure speed, but if the Quantum is comparable with the Apple HS SCSI, it might be worthwhile to stick with a standard. Does anyone have any info on Connor mechanisms? I've heard they have a 16k cache. Thanks. _______________________________________________ _______________ | Steve Chiang Apple //gs forever | Coming Soon: | |-----------------------------------------------|---------------| | Internet : stc7@cunixb.cc.columbia.edu | DreamGrafix | | America_Online : DWS Steve | 3200 power | |_______________________________________________|_______________|
