Hello,

I have a very simple question , but interesting though.
When you expand the memory of your 1040 STE with SIMM slots
( ie you have 4 x 256K SIMM modules ) to a 2 Mega-byte system
( ie you have 2 x 1M SIMM modules ), what are the two slots
that should stay unused among the four ?

On the board of my ST I can read near the SIMM slots :

              U 600
      +-----------------------+
      |     simm slots        |
      +-----------------------+
U 602 |                       |
      +-----------------------+
U 603 |                       |
      +-----------------------+
      |                       |
      +-----------------------+
	     U 601

Any ideas ,
