Detection of the HART is foolproof, but certain other hardware devices will fool DesTerm2.00 into thinking a swiftlink available. This doesn't crash the machine as such, it just means that DesTerm starts sending the init-string but waits forever for the transmit holding register to clear. I know the stereo sid causes this problem, but GEOram is a new one on me... I think (as of yet unverified) that I have come up with a better way of verifying a SwiftLink-232, so in later versions, this problem will go away. For the moment, simply disconnect the stereo sid cart or GEOram as appropriate -- neither is used by DesTerm anyway.
