The DeskJet is not a page printer and does not use LaserJet soft (or hard) font formats. Getting RAM for your DJ will not help it one bit in using LaserJet soft fonts. There are LaserJet to DeskJet soft font conversion utilities, but even then the DeskJet spacing will usually be different due to the fact that the DeskJet Plus cannot kern fonts (the DeskJet 500 can, so conversion utilities that support the 500 could preserve LaserJet spacing). So if you bought more memory, your problem would not really be much closer to being solved. You really need a DeskJet Plus specific driver for most all applications. Dave Neff neff@hpvcfs1.HP.COM
