Typically these products offer little speed improvement, but do allow running '386 codes. One product, from Microway, is designed to offer substantial speed improvement thanks to onboard 32K or 64K cache. So I thought I would order one for testing. We called Microway and they said there was a problem running Microsoft Windows 3.0! Probably the biggest reason these days for having a 386 machine... They said they were working on it and would have it fixed soon.
