Hello Netters-

This is my first posting to this group so if this question has been answered
before, my apologies for the inconvenience.  A friend of mine is interested
in purchasing a "portable" (not necessarily a laptop) computer to use for
data collection.  He is interested in the following features, and would like
to know if there is a machine out there that fits the bill.

What it needs to have:
----------------------
At least two expansion lots that take standard AT cards.
386SX would be nice but not required.
40 Mb Harddrive.
Plasma screen preferred.
It absolutly positively has to be able to run from battery power.
Memory expandable to 8 Megs.
Cost must be under $5000

One constraint is that it cannot be a Toshiba of any kind.  Since I don't 
read this group regularly, I would appreciate E-Mail responses only.
